Have you heard Wings Of Love, the biggest Hungarian alternative club hit of 2007? The Russians already have and found it great (such a big audience cannot be wrong), so you should check it out as well. Zagar, this amazing electro-pop-indie band is just back from the road. They played in Germany and Russia with the support of PANKKK - Hungarian Music Export.

Honey and Chili. No, it's not a new style of Chinese food. It's the title of the new LP from the black-voiced, impulsive, blue-eyed, blond jazz sensation, Juli Fabian and her band, Jazz Riff. Juli Fabian Jazz Riff was formed in the summer of 2008. This is the talented singer's first formation. After she graduated from the Jazz Faculty of Hungarian Music Academy she appeared in such internationally well-known formations as Just In Time, Eric Sumo Band, Barabás Lőrinc Eklektric and many more. She was finalist at the Jazz Voice Competition of Montreux in 2008 and 2009!

Kerekes Band is a Hungarian specialty. Using the Shepherd's Flute through many effects and wah wah pedal, 3 string viola and Koboz as the principal lead instruments, they are playing a spicy style of folk/rock and enjoying an increasing popularity not just in Hungary, but also further afield. The Band have just released their new video, a cover of Hendrix's "Voodoo Child", watch it here.

The aim of this new website is pretty simple: promoting the values of the Hungarian popular music scene, expecting that foreign professionals will start to use this site as 'the Hungarian music industry landing page' and a general source of information. Easier said than done, but we like challenges.
When PANKKK Program Bureau inherited the task of export promotion in 2009, we realized that the given structure of communication is not efficient enough, our messages are not getting through to the audience we would like to draw in. With this new website our basic idea is to create something simple and informative. You will not find long articles about PANKKK Program in general and we will not start promoting our achievements of the past 5-6 years, because probably you do not care.
We think you prefer listening to our music, you are looking for reliable industrial partners and databases in our country, so feel free to take as much information as possible. And if you miss something, contact us and we will do our best to get you connected.

EZ Basic are a three-piece band from Budapest, Hungary. Formed in 2004, the boys' primary aim was to mix electronic and instrumental music, but it was post-punk, new wave and the underground music of the 60s that left their marks on EZ Basic's sound. On one hand, the name EZ Basic refers to early 1980s computers/electronics, on the other hand, to DIY punk ethics: easy basic as 'learn three chords and form a band'.

Portrait of a local pro |

She's a shooting star for sure. Zsuzsa started at MTV Hungary in 2008 as local talent and music manager. Then she was promoted to senior TAM manager for Emerging Markets (that includes India, Africa, Israel, Turkey, Russia and almost all the Eastern European countries). 'Lots to do', says Zsuzsa with a smile. 'I love my job, so I don't mind that I have to work almost 24/7.' Now, she is also overseeing MTV, VH1 European and MTVNHD music teams' and programmers' work.
